Kizee is deeply committed to the field of psychology, bringing a rich blend of knowledge and practical experience to her practice. With a Master’s degree in counseling and psychology, her professional background includes extensive experience in mental health research, which has significantly enhanced her understanding of therapeutic techniques and client needs. Her clinical expertise is further bolstered by her tenure at Canada’s leading mental health research hospital, CAMH.

Kizee prioritizes creating a supportive, empathetic and non-judgemental environment where clients feel heard, understood and supported. One of her key goals in therapy is to ensure clients feel, safe, comfortable, free to expression and validated throughout the process. She provides an empathic, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive space, helping individuals and couples share their stories and achieve meaningful healing and personal growth. Kizee’s approach is integrative and dynamic, blending various therapeutic modalities to tailor her practice to each client’s needs. She employs person- centered therapy to foster a non-judgmental and empathetic environment, psychodynamic therapy to explore unconscious processes and their influence on behavior, and solution-focused brief therapy to leverage client strengths for achieving goals. Her humanistic therapy emphasizes personal growth and self-actualization, while Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) addresses trauma-specific needs. Additionally, Kizee incorporates the Gottman Method to enhance relationship dynamics. Her extensive background in mental health research and clinical practice enriches her skills and commitment, ensuring a nuanced and impactful approach to therapy.
